Based on our experience, we would not recommend Mr. Martin or Coldwell Banker to anyone needing real estate services. We felt as if Mr. Martin did the absolute minimum required for him to close the deal and get paid. Our biggest problem was the lack of communication. We live 3000 miles from the house we purchased and needed to be kept up to date as things happened. Instead of of Mr. Martin being proactive, we found ourselves constantly emailing to ask what was happening. Even then responses to our questions took longer than expected and often had to be repeated. Mr. Martin offered a home appliance warranty, but that had to be approved by the office. We heard nothing back about that until we asked. We didn't know when/if the sellers were out of our house, or if the keys were transferred until the day after. Even then only one house key was provided (2 more keys were later found in the house). There are many other examples that I won't go into here. Overall, it was a frustrating experience.

I was selling my historic duplex to relocate to another region of the country for a job, so ideally wanted to sell my house before leaving GR. Jeff provided solid guidance on what to do to ready my house for sale. He marketed it aggressively, resulting in a full price offer four days after listing it. Everything went smoothly, and he even helped with a temporary repair to some rotted wood on a set of french doors. The repair was so good, it was far better than the "temporary" repair it was intended to be. One factor that led me to select Jeff as my realtor is his in-depth knowledge of historic houses, being a historic homeowner himself. His historic insights made his recommendations regarding what I should and shouldn't repair even more sound. Jeff is a diligent professional, who I recommend to other buyers and sellers without hesitation. He was a pleasure to work with.
